I got a chance to discuss some of my recent projects and collaborations for this interview. It explores the possibilities for art in the context of a DIY approach to tool-building and open-source concepts. It is my hope that art can find a substantial place in a variety of worlds – scientific, mathematical, and otherwise – by the merits of artistic knowledge.

About Aaron Bocanegra

Aaron Bocanegra is the owner of Whatartist - an Interaction Design, Photography and Video studio. He received his BFA in Fine Art Photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology and his MFA in Graduate Art Studies at the Art Center College of Design. He is interested in flowing between aesthetic and technology to solve creative problems and design complex systems.
